HiSpeed Ltd. designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for automotive, aerospace and robotics applications.

Systems & Controls Engineer

The role involves:
– Definition of power electronics system requirements and test plans.
– Development of system and motor control strategies in Matlab/Simulink environment.
– Autocoding with Simulink embedded coder.
– Bench and dyno testing of power electronics and motor systems, including motor characterization and calibration processes.
– Support to vehicle testing, data processing and technical reporting.


Desired skills and experience:
– Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience ( automotive industry is a plus).
– MSc or PhD thesis on advanced motor or power electronics control algorithms e.g. sensorless motor control algorithms, different modulation techniques, control of multiphase electrical machines… etc (desired).
– Previous experience with automotive system testing tools (CANalyzer, INCA, CANape) and test benches instrumentation.
– Previous experience in classic & modern control theories.
– Previous experience with motor control algorithms for PMSM for automotive applications – MTPA, MTPV, FW.
– Previous experience with motor control algorithms for Induction machines and wound synchronous machines (beneficial).
– Previous experience with power electronics e.g. traction inverters, DC/DC converters, modulation schemes.

Power Electronics Hardware Engineer

The role involves:
– Design LV electronics for LV and HV traction inverters. This includes design of isolated and non-isolated SMPS, design of analogue and digital circuits.
– Schematics capture, Library management in Altium.
– PCB design / specification / layout in Altium (desired), Support / guide PCB/ PCBA production processes.
– Development of test plans and testing of power electronic boards ( integrity tests, functional tests .
– Support HW functional safety analyses & inverter testing.

Desired skills and experience:
– Minimum of 3 years (Mid-level) and 6 years (Senior-level) of relevant industrial experience with HW design experience.
– HW design experience to fulfil EMC regulations / standards as ECE REG 10, CISPR 25 is desired.
– Experience with WBG power converters – SIC, GAN.
– Experience with ISO26262 implementation at HW level.
– Knowledge of PCB design best practices for EMC, thermal management, and signal integrity.
– Knowledge on PCB design for manufacturing / design for testing is desired.
